I’ve noticed that women carry handbags full of crap, i mean i was handing my wife her wallet our of her handbag, and she had nothing but crap in there. All we men need is a wallet but women carry a big ass handbag and 50% of the stuff in there is crap, why?

Hahaha! For the most part I agree with you. I have found that the amount of stuff in any woman’s bag is proportional to the size of the bag. We use it as an accessory so please understand that much of the time it is a part of the entire effect. The color, shape, style, material…all compliment or detract from “a look.”
On the more practical day-to-day side, our bags are very important in that we are kinda high maintenance compared with guys. Makeup, fem-hygene, etc… But I have noticed more guys carrying bags, backpacks, etc…That is the same thing isn’t it?
Some women are more into their bags than others. When I am doing something active I only carry a bag if I have to. I like the freedom of not hauling 5 pounds of crap with me so I am often seen without a bag.

I think that a big problem is that bigger bags are in style now. And a lot of women feel, the bigger the bag, the more they need to carry. You’re not gonna carry a bag with nothing in it. So they fill it with useless crap.

unfortunately we feel like we constantly need to be carrying around, hand sanitizer, cell phone, wallet, planner or PDA, tampons, umbrella (yes my purse is that big), gum, and make-up. i couldn’t give you an excuse other than we choose to carry all that crap around!

Most women don’t feel that everything in their handbag is crap. I am looking in mine right now and I have my wallet, make-up, gum, my husband’s keys, my keys, a package of handy wipes, a spider-man action figure(my son’s) and various pens, etc. These are useful things to a woman every day. Men can carry only their wallets and are virtually unprepared for lots of daily mishaps. Women just think ahead. (no disrespect toward men intended)

women usually handle all of the home responsibilities. usually hang with their friends more. ok so u need to go grocery shopping. you take the baby, you stop at the post office, in any given hand bag of a married mother she will go to the grocery store so she has baby wipes, diapers, personal identification, pen, address book, cell phone, lip stick and mirror, teething gel for the baby, a bottle of water from home so u can drink the water while u are running erronds. postage labels for the post office, stamps that u buy at the post office the papers to send everthing certified the reciepts from the grocery store or walmart to keep at home just in case you need to return any thing back to the store, women who smoke cigarettes and a lighter, a toy or two for the baby, sun block for the baby so they do not get burned, money, credit cards, doctor appointment cards, change, now to a man it might seem like a bunch of junk in the purse but do women really like to have to carry all this around in the purse and diaper bag? of corse they do not but you need to for obvious reasons. i once sent my husband to the store with my daughter when she was 4 months old. now if he had taken the diaper bag which he did not because it is not manly he comes back with out anything but bread and my daughter was screaming hungary with a loaded diaper. he did not get to the post office because he failed to get the labeling done considering the baby was screaming not to mention he was supposed to bring her to the doctors after. he did not get half of the things he needed to do because my daughter ended up slobbering all over the grocery list. so i guess you can understand why women tend to have a lot of things in their purse.

Women have to be prepared all the time. That’s why we always carry a purse. Usually in there we have keys, wallet, checkbook, make up, cellphone. And if they have kids they need more stuff like wipes, etc. We may not use these things constantly but when we need them we’re so happy we have them. And sometimes our husbands need them and we come to the rescue!
